<p><b>Description</b></p>
<ul>
<li>We need a result-oriented and experienced professional as an Insurance Underwriting Senior Executive.</li>
<li>The successful candidate must be a self-motivated team player with aggressive drive to improve client service procedures and ensure optimal operating efficiency across all functions of the Underwriting and Claims Unit.</li>
<li>Applicants must be associate members of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) or Chartered Insurance Institute UK., Lagos</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Prepares and evaluates proposals/bids in line with best practices for clients across different industries;</li>
<li>General underwriting and preparing of broking/other technical documents for different classes of insurance;</li>
<li>Prepares pre and post-renewal insurance registers for clients;</li>
<li>Claims Processing:</li>
<li>Reconciliation of underwriting accounts with various clients and underwriters;</li>
<li>Ensuring prompt settlement of claims in the interest of the clients;</li>
<li>Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual technical reports;</li>
<li>Effectively communicate value proposition through proposals and presentations;</li>
<li>Key Account Management;</li>
<li>Own and hit annual sales targets;</li>
<li>Other insurance technical matters and general tasks assigned per time.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>Requirements</b></p>
<ul>
<li>BA / BSc / HND;</li>
<li>Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in an insurance broking or underwriting firm;</li>
<li>Excellent work attitude and innovative (disruptive and creative in solving problems);</li>
<li>Customer Service Intelligence;</li>
<li>Associate Member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria(ACIIN) or Chartered Insurance Institute, UK;</li>
<li>Relevant technical knowledge and practical experience of underwriting and claims processes;</li>
<li>Personality: A go-getter, enthusiastic and results-oriented;</li>
<li>Ability to Build, Manage and Lead High-Performance Teams;</li>
<li>Strong, creative, must have an all-round commercial awareness of the business and analytical approach to underwriting;</li>
</ul>
