Nollywood actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo has clarified that he is yet to join any political party despite his resignation from the Labour Party.
Speaking during an appearance on Arise TV, the former spokesperson of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council revealed that he is currently engaged in coalition talks aimed at forming a credible political alternative ahead of future elections.
“I’m a member of the coalition. We have not chosen officially a platform. We’re in talks, and I’m part of the talks,” Okonkwo stated.
Okonkwo emphasized the importance of aligning with individuals who share a common vision, noting that he is carefully considering the people he will associate with in any future political move.
“You have to assure me and I have to know the people I am going to enter into such party with… In all honesty, we need a new thing. We may not go back to change the beginning, but we can start from where we are today and change the ending,” he added.
Okonkwo maintained that when the right platform is selected, Nigerians will be informed and will trust his decision.
