<p><&sol;p>&NewLine;<div>&NewLine;<p>The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God &lpar;RCCG&rpar;&comma; <strong>Pastor Enoch Adeboye&comma;<&sol;strong> has said Nigeria’s situation would have been much worse if not for the power of prayer&comma; insisting that without the constant intercession of believers&comma; the country would be in a far more terrible state&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Speaking on Sunday&comma; June 1&comma; during the church’s monthly Thanksgiving service and special prayers for security and paramilitary officers at the RCCG headquarters in Ebute-Metta&comma; Lagos&comma; Adeboye stressed that prayers have held the country together despite its many challenges&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Addressing skeptics who question the power of continuous <strong>prayers<&sol;strong> and fasting&comma; Pastor Adeboye said&semi;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Some say&comma; &OpenCurlyQuote;You’ve been praying and fasting — where is the result&quest;’ I laugh&period; If we had not prayed&comma; Nigeria would have been in a far worse state&period; Let’s not stop&period;”<&sol;em><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He reminded the congregation that divine intervention still governs human affairs&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;There is a God who rules in the affairs of men&period; If those praying would pause for just one week&comma; the difference would be terrifying&period; Keep praying&period; God controls the hearts of kings<&sol;em>&comma;” he stated&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Preaching on the theme &OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;<em>Shadow of the Almighty&comma;”<&sol;em> the revered cleric highlighted miraculous instances that&comma; in his words&comma; reflect the unique spiritual covering over the Redeemed Christian Church of God&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He noted that RCCG enjoys divine preservation and has consistently been shielded from disasters since its inception&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;I never preach church or denomination&comma; but there is something peculiar about the Redeemed Christian Church of God&period; There is a shield over the RCCG — unseen but undeniably present&comma;” <&sol;em>he said&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He referenced a building in the United States where an RCCG house fellowship meets&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Despite a flood that swept through an entire row of 15 houses&comma; only the one hosting the fellowship was untouched&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;House number eight&comma; with the RCCG sign&comma; was the only one spared&period; House after house was flooded&comma; but house number eight — the only one with a sign that read&comma; &OpenCurlyQuote;House Fellowship of RCCG holds here’ — remained untouched&period; That is not a coincidence — that is divine covering&comma;” <&sol;em>he explained&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Adeboye also recalled the fire outbreak at Otedola Bridge in Lagos earlier this year&comma; where a fire consumed surrounding buildings but left an RCCG structure unharmed&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Buildings before and after were destroyed&comma; but the RCCG building stood&period; That’s not ordinary&comma;” <&sol;em>he stated as the church media team displayed images of the incident&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He urged Christians to remain steadfast in their faith and prayers&comma; especially in uncertain times&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Your safety is in God&period; His protection may not be visible&comma; but it is always present&period; Whether young or old&comma; in peace or in crisis&comma; the Almighty covers His own&comma;<&sol;em>” he assured&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Earlier in the service&comma; Pastor Folu Adeboye led an emotional prayer session for Nigeria’s peace and wisdom upon those in leadership&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Let us ask God to have mercy on our president and give him peace&comma; so he may find joy in his tenure<&sol;em>&comma;” she prayed&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The Thanksgiving service also paid special tribute to security and paramilitary officers&comma; reflecting RCCG’s commitment to interceding for the safety and well-being of the nation&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<&sol;p><&sol;div>&NewLine;<p><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;gistreel&period;com&sol;if-not-for-prayer-nigeria-would-be-far-worse-pastor-adeboye&sol;" previewlistener&equals;"true">Source link <&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
