The journalist, known for her unfiltered and often provocative takes, had earlier accused her late father of physically and emotionally abusing her and her siblings — allegations that sparked outrage and sympathy alike. Now, faced with intense backlash, she has doubled down, calling out those attacking her for speaking her truth.

“Why are people calling me all these ugly names on blogs that I’m not? My dad and the rest all portrayed me that way to the world,” she wrote on Instagram.

Kemi went on to reveal that she had filmed 12 videos within 14 hours, describing the process as therapeutic and liberating. “I am now FREE of the bondage in my life, career and the Olunloyo generational curse,” she declared.

In the emotional post, she also noted that none of her father’s 11 grandchildren paid tribute to him on social media, hinting at a wider family disconnect.

Kemi further announced a significant life decision — she will no longer return to Nigeria. “I will not be setting foot in Nigeria, let alone in Ibadan. It is extreme bad luck for me again. I will not be going to that city or country ever again in my lifetime. I have begun rebranding my life,” she said.

Reflecting on her late father’s upcoming posthumous 90th birthday, Kemi shared a somber tone, acknowledging the weight of her family’s history.

“He made a lot of mistakes, he was wicked and selfish. I forgave him in 2021, but he wanted a padi padi family relationship — it was no more. What Daddy did to this family tore it apart,” she wrote.
