<p>An embattled man has shared his heartbreaking ordeal of spending <em>five years in <a target="_blank" href="http://gistreel.com/tag/prison"><strong>prison</strong></a></em> for a crime he claims he never committed.</p>
<p>Speaking on <em>Doyin’s Corner,</em> a podcast hosted by <em>BBNaija star <a target="_blank" href="http://gistreel.com/tag/doyin"><strong>Doyin David</strong></a>,</em> the man, believed to be in his late 40s, recounted how his life took a devastating turn after being wrongfully accused.</p>
<p>According to him, he was arrested unexpectedly and, within <em>five days,</em> found himself in a crowded prison cell with <em>about 90 inmates.</em></p>
<p>He revealed that his fate was sealed after a man he had never met before testified against him in court, <strong>swearing on the Bible</strong>.</p>
<h3><em>My experience in prison for 5 years</em></h3>
<p><em>“I was coming back from work. It was like a dream to me. It happened within 5 days, they took me to the police station on Saturday and by Thursday, they took me to court. </em></p>
<p><em>“When I was taken to court, someone who I have never seen in my life testified against and he even swore with a Bible. That was the first day in my life that I will see someone lying and swearing with the word of God. Since that day, I didn’t trust human beings again</em><em style="font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', 'Open Sans', Arial, sans-serif;">,” </em><span style="font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', 'Open Sans', Arial, sans-serif;">he stated.</span></p>
<p>He further described the inhumane conditions he endured behind bars, stating:</p>
<p><em>“It is by the grace of God one could survive with prison food. If you give the same to a dog, it would die. The total people sleeping in one cell was 90.”</em></p>
<p>Despite the injustice he suffered, the man said he has chosen to leave the matter to God, believing that <em>karma</em> will eventually catch up with those responsible for his <strong>wrongful imprisonment</strong>.</p>
