We are excited to present a wonderful opportunity for a dedicated and empathetic Healthcare Assistant to join an SEN unit within a Primary school in a full-time, long-term role with an immediate start.</p>
<p> As a Healthcare Assistant in an SEN school, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care and assistance to students with a range of complex needs. Your responsibilities will include:<br />

<li>Providing personalised care and support to students with SEN, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being throughout the school day.</li>
<li>Assisting with personal care tasks, including feeding, toileting, and administering medication, in a sensitive and dignified manner.</li>
<li>Collaborating closely with teachers and therapists to implement individual care plans for students, promoting their overall development and progress.</li>
<li>Supporting students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities, adapting materials and resources as necessary.</li>
<li>Assisting in the management of challenging behaviours, using de-escalation techniques and providing a calm and nurturing environment.</li>
<li>Monitoring and documenting students&#8217; health conditions, behaviours, and progress, communicating effectively with the wider team to ensure continuity of care.</li>
<li>Establishing positive and trusting relationships with students, creating a safe and supportive environment for their learning and personal growth.</li>
<li>Collaborating with other health care professionals and external agencies to ensure that students receive the necessary medical and therapeutic support.</li>
<li>Encouraging and promoting the student&#8217;s independence and self-care skills, empowering them to develop their abilities and build confidence.</li>
<li>Promoting inclusivity and celebrating diversity within the school community, fostering an atmosphere of acceptance, respect, and equality.</li>
</ul>
