is responsible for physical and personnel security across both Houses of Parliament and provides support to Members and staff when away from the Estate&period; Its purpose is to keep Parliament safe and open for business&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><b>The Role<&sol;b><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> The Head of Engagement is a new role which reports to the Security Portfolio Director and will be responsible for influencing and engaging senior stakeholders&comma; both parliament and external&comma; to ensure security considerations are built into all investment or change proposals at an early stage&period; They will build&comma; lead and develop a small engagement team in a matrix&comma; engaging across projects throughout their lifecycle&period; The post holder will be the senior business partner for PSD&&num;8217&semi;s physical security inputs bicamerally&comma; acting as the front door for PSD&&num;8217&semi;s physical security teams&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive engagement expert with a broad knowledge of security related challenges in a complex operational environment working with senior stakeholders&period; As the post holder you must have experience of developing strategically aligned engagement strategies and plans and be able to navigate complex governance processes effectively&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> Some of the responsibilities for this role include&colon; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>Working with the Portfolio Director&comma; ensure PSD is represented and positioned within critical decision-making forums across Parliament by ensuring appropriate representation on relevant boards and committees&comma; deputising where necessary&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Act as representative for the Client and Security Portfolio Director providing access to specialist security advice as required and delegating at senior boards and committees as necessary&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Work with the Head of Physical Security Planning and Advisory to proactively engage PSD&&num;8217&semi;s main clients for physical security advice&comma; both internal and external&comma; to identify areas where PSD effort and input is needed and ensuring that PSD inputs into the project and programme governance processes&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Working with staff of the two Houses to ensure relevant committees or member bodies are consulted or engaged as required taking responsibility for the quality and co-ordination of papers to member bodies&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<p><b>Skills and Experience<&sol;b><&sol;p>&NewLine;<p> To be successful in this role you will demonstrate&colon; <&sol;p>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>Experience of managing and effectively delivering engagement strategies and plans across a major and complex delivery portfolio<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Demonstrable ability to establish authority and credibility quickly&comma; to build and maintain confident and collaborative relationships with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders based on trust and mutual respect upholding the principles of diversity&comma; equality and inclusion&comma;
