<p><strong>Manchester United</strong> midfielder <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/casemiro" rel="noopener"><strong>Casemiro</strong></a> has shared the touching story behind giving his FA Cup medal to teammate <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/?s=tyrell+malacia" rel="noopener"><strong>Tyrell Malacia</strong></a>.</p>
<p>The midfield maestro gifted Malacia the medal after the team’s 2-1 win over Manchester City in the 2023 final at Wembley.</p>
<p>Despite not playing in the match due to a hamstring injury, Casemiro was present to celebrate with the squad.</p>
<p>However, the Brazilian noticed Malacia, who missed the entire 2022/23 season due to injuries, hesitating to join the trophy presentation.</p>

<p>Malacia, who returned to action recently after months of recovery, revealed that he initially chose to stay away from the celebrations, feeling undeserving of the spotlight.</p>
<p>But Casemiro convinced him otherwise, saying, “Nah, you have to go up there as well.”</p>
<p>Explaining his gesture, Casemiro said:</p>
<p>“He hadn’t played a single game that season, and he didn’t want to climb the steps.</p>
<p>“There was no medal for him, so I gave him mine. He’s part of the team, and we’re counting on him. Even though he hasn’t played, we love him, we need him, and he also needs love.”</p>
<p>Malacia has since expressed his gratitude to Casemiro, acknowledging the support from his teammates during his challenging moment.</p>
<p>He emphasized how their encouragement reminded him of his integral role in the team despite his absence on the pitch.</p>
