<p>Popular Nigerian <a target="_blank" href="http://gistreel.com/tag/gospel-singer"><strong>gospel singer</strong></a> and ordained pastor, Bolaji Olarewaju, widely known as <em>Big Bolaji</em> or <em>Big B</em>, has passed away.</p>
<p>His death was confirmed in a statement issued by his family on Saturday, April 19, 2025. According to the family, Big Bolaji died on <strong>Easter</strong> Saturday following a brief illness.</p>

<p>The statement described him as a “cherished father, husband, brother, and an esteemed figure in both the church community and the Nigerian music industry.”</p>
<p>“Bolaji left us on Easter Saturday, 19th April 2025, after a brief illness. He was not only an ordained Pastor in the <strong>Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG)</strong> but also a giant in gospel music and a voice of inspiration to many,” the family noted.</p>
<p>The family said details of his funeral arrangements would be communicated in due time.</p>
<p>Big Bolaji recently celebrated his 50th birthday and remained active in ministry and music until his passing. He was also known as a radio talk show host and began his musical journey with the gospel group <em>J’apha</em>, eventually becoming a household name in the Nigerian gospel scene with his powerful voice, vibrant stage presence, and soul-lifting songs.</p>
<p>Tributes have since poured in from fans, fellow gospel artists, and church members who described him as a man of joy, praise, and unwavering faith.</p>
