<p><&sol;p>&NewLine;<div>&NewLine;<p>The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God &lpar;<a target&equals;"&lowbar;blank" href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;gistreel&period;com&sol;tag&sol;rccg"><strong>RCCG<&sol;strong><&sol;a>&rpar;&comma; <a target&equals;"&lowbar;blank" href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;gistreel&period;com&sol;tag&sol;Pastor-Enoch-Adeboye"><strong>Pastor Enoch Adeboye<&sol;strong><&sol;a>&comma; has revealed that God once gave him a stern warning never to leave the church or risk losing his firstborn child&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He made this striking disclosure during the June edition of the RCCG Holy Ghost Service&comma; themed <em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Destined for Greatness &lpar;Part 2&rpar;&comma;”<&sol;em> held in the early hours of Saturday at the Redemption City of God in Ogun State&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>While teaching on divine direction and spiritual steadfastness&comma; Pastor Adeboye expressed concern over a rising trend of church-hopping among young believers&period; He referred to a message delivered earlier in the service by his son&comma; <strong>Pastor Leke Adeboye<&sol;strong>&comma; and urged Christians to stay rooted where God has planted them&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Recalling his early Christian journey&comma; the revered cleric said that when he was born again&comma; several major ministries were making waves and appeared more attractive&period; However&comma; he said God clearly instructed him to remain in RCCG&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;When I got born again&comma; there were three major ministries that were making waves&comma; and they were very good&period; There were different temptations to go from one to another&period; <&sol;em><em>But God said to me&comma; &OpenCurlyQuote;Son&comma; I brought you here&period; This is where you will stay&period; The day you leave this denomination&comma; your firstborn will die&comma;” <&sol;em>he said&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Pastor Adeboye emphasised that despite his academic status as a university lecturer at the time&comma; God led him to submit to the leadership of his spiritual mentor&comma; who had no formal education&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;My father in the Lord didn’t go to secondary school&comma; not even primary&period; But God said this is where you will stay&comma;”<&sol;em> he recounted&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>The RCCG leader said the church’s headquarters was then located in a modest building in Ebute-Metta&comma; Lagos&comma; and the ministry was far from the global institution it is today&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>He cautioned <a target&equals;"&lowbar;blank" href&equals;"http&colon;&sol;&sol;gistreel&period;com&sol;tag&sol;Christians"><strong>Christians<&sol;strong><&sol;a> against making decisions based solely on personal preference or popularity&comma; urging them to prioritise divine guidance&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;Discover where God wants you to stay&comma; and stay there&comma;”<&sol;em> he advised&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p>Pastor Adeboye also clarified that his message was not an attempt to elevate RCCG above other denominations&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><em>&OpenCurlyDoubleQuote;I am not saying we are better than any other denomination&comma;”<&sol;em> he noted&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<&sol;p><&sol;div>&NewLine;<p><a href&equals;"https&colon;&sol;&sol;www&period;gistreel&period;com&sol;god-warned-me-never-to-leave-rccg-or-lose-my-firstborn-pastor-adeboye&sol;" previewlistener&equals;"true">Source link <&sol;a><&sol;p>&NewLine;
