A young Nigerian man goes viral after sharing his unconventional approach for asking women out, which he claims helps filter out uninterested prospects.
The idea, initially shared by X user @chinedu_10, involves giving women his phone number instead of asking for theirs.
Chinedu emphasized that while he isn’t a relationship coach, the strategy has proven effective in fostering meaningful connections.
“When I meet a lady who catches my eye, I don’t ask for her number. Instead, I give her mine and tell her to text me. It’s not about being proud or forming an ‘alpha male’; it’s about respecting my time. If she doesn’t text, I’ve saved myself from wasting time on something that wouldn’t work out. Trust me, this works!” he stated.
Encouraged by the idea, another X user, @Yorubatoast1, decided to test the method on a woman he admired during their daily bus commute.
Instead of directly asking for her contact information, he handed her a handwritten note with his phone number.
To his delight, the lady texted him hours later, initiating a lively and humorous conversation. The interaction left him optimistic about this straightforward yet effective approach.
Sharing an update on his experience, he wrote:
