<p><a target="_blank" href="http://gistreel.com/tag/doyin-okupe"><strong>Doyin Okupe</strong></a>, a former Director-General of Peter Obi’s Presidential Campaign Organisation, has passed away at the age of 72 after a prolonged battle with cancer.</p>
<p>Reports indicate that the former presidential spokesperson had been critically ill in recent weeks before his demise. His health had deteriorated significantly, raising concerns among his family and supporters.</p>
<p>In October 2023, Okupe was diagnosed with prostate <strong>cancer</strong> and was flown to Israel for treatment. However, despite medical intervention, his condition did not improve as expected.</p>
<p>Okupe was a seasoned politician and media strategist who served in various government roles, including as Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to former <strong>President Goodluck Jonathan</strong>. His contributions to Nigeria’s political landscape spanned several decades.</p>
