maintenance and disposition of FortisBC Fleet vehicles and equipment including automobiles&comma; trucks&comma; construction equipment and trailers&period; Order and receives delivery of new vehicles and makes arrangements for up-fitting&semi; may be required to present rough sketches&sol;drawings of layouts for up-fitting based on user requirements&period; Coordinates and liaises with managers&comma; fleet management companies&comma; end users&comma; and upfitters on outfitting projects&period; Monitors the commissioning and disposal of vehicles and equipment&period; Receives&comma; reviews and coordinates purchase and upfit invoices<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Selects and orders appropriate components based on approve specification sheets&comma; provides information regarding available options&period; Escalates problems associated to various components&sol;specifications&semi; utilizes and&sol;or adapts existing specifications or initiates appropriate changes to meet user&&num;8217&semi;s needs&period; Assembles catalogues of specifications to create light duty vehicle specifications&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Effectively presents information to FortisBC employees and suppliers&semi; communicates and coordinates specific workflow processes&period; Visually inspects and signs off on the quality of work completed&comma; escalates issues to management&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Coordinates the installation and removal of fleet specific requirements and provides assistance to on fleet related issues&period; Assigns vehicles to specific locations and coordinates licensing and registration requirements for vehicles&period; Reviews GVW ratings to ensure they are correctly applied to all vehicles per industry regulations&period; Attends to related enquiries from ICBC and others&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Ensures drivers of appropriate vehicles have their annual Commercial Vehicle Inspection Permits completed by expiry date&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Arranges and ensures all vehicles are in compliance with federal and provincial licensing requirements&period; Maintains vehicles graphics standards and ensures all vehicles are decaled properly with appropriate graphics&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Coordinates vehicle replacements by analyzing vehicle odometer readings and age&comma; and incorporates vehicle and upfit costs for annual budget process&period; Reconciles vehicle capital costs between fleet management numbers and actual approved invoices quarterly&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Coordinates the investigation of vehicle and equipment problems&semi; works with Fleet service providers on a solution&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>May be required to visit various plants and workshops to review service quality&semi; conduct pre-production meetings to clarify requirements&comma; inspect work in progress&comma; assess deviations from specifications and assist in resolving problems related to work scheduling and&sol;or obtaining parts&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Compiles vehicle repair or replace recommendations and may examine the unit&period; Reviews mileage and history of repairs&period; Makes arrangements for temporary replacements from FortisBC Fleet vehicles&comma; reviews rental requests and arranges for rental vehicles&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Responds to general enquiries and complaints relating to Fleet vehicles&period; Maintains and updates fleet database and vehicle records and prepares new vehicle status reports&period;&period; Produces various reports providing costs&comma; forecasts&comma; statistics&comma; driver or vehicle information for management review&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Checks fuel card purchases daily for discrepancies&comma; fraud or questionable purchases&period; Act on fraud charges immediately&period; Follow-up with appropriate managers&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Performs duties of a minor nature related to the above duties&comma; which do not affect the rating of the job&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<p><b>Requirements<&sol;b><&sol;p>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>High school graduation<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Automotive Mechanical Course&comma; Light Truck Essentials LT-2 course or equivalent&period; Basic knowledge of all types of makes and models of vehicles&sol;trucks<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>An understanding of ICBC&sol;Transport Canada rules and regulations<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Valid BC Driver&&num;8217&semi;s License<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Three &lpar;3&rpar; years&&num;8217&semi; directly recent related&comma; relevant work experience in a utility fleet or fleet management environment<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Ability to work independently without direct assistance from the supervisor<&sol;li>&NewLine;<li>Courteous&comma;
