My client is seeking a highly experienced Renewable Finance Lead to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of renewable energy finance, project development, and investment strategies.
You will be joining a growing and ambitious organization, this role is a pivotal role for Company as they expand their portfolio in the UK.
Managing the production and analysis of reporting to HQ , this role will require a tactical, hands-on approach, ensuring finance reports and transaction reporting data is accurate and verifiable to enable the business to make informed commercial decisions. The suitable candidate will have a keen attention to detail and maintain account balances, financial statements, general ledger, and all reports, on local GAAP as well on IFRS.
Client: Global electricity producer, operating in the wind, solar, hydro, biomass and storage and also a service provider to 3rd party clients such as Development, EPC, O&M and Distribution. Operating in more than 20 countries across 4 continents.
Financial Leader Responsibilities: * Accounting, bank & Tax
- Be an active decision maker in the UK management team, providing commercial direction to optimise the UK’s performance
- Prepare financial statements and analysis in collaboration with external accounting company.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable.
- Assist in Financial and tax audits and be responsible for Local Tax compliance.
- Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements and prepare financial reports for HQ based on IFRS norms (Quarterly basis)
- Maintain account balances and bank statements.
- Manage general ledger and assist month-end/year-end close processes.
- Record financial information for analysis.
- Be responsible for the monthly closing process in accordance with group calendar, managing the local calendar and assure the local compliance with group deadlines by all BL (Receptions, ICP Reconciliation, Accruals Deferrals and Provisions, Flash revenues, IFRS calculation, Pipeline Reconciliation);
- Be responsible for the IFRS harmonization of Local Package and Group Package for Quarterly submission;
- Assist in general audits and tax audits;
- Financial analysis, Controlling, Budget & Reporting
- Coordinate and be the referent of the financial information of the different Business Lines.
- Preparing documents and interpret financial information for managers, executives, and international headquarters finance dept.
- Assist on budget definition in line with the Business Plan targets defined by the Country Manager and the different Business Lines.
- Responsible for the cash forecasts definition and monitorization, along with BL local managers, and approval from Country Manager
- Local Responsible for controlling activities, in particular for costs vs budget analysis and reporting, on monthly basis
- Manage Analytical accounting and reporting for projects and for contracts;
- Produce data for Cost analysis and support to Business Line Managers;
- Assure the production and analysis of the reporting sent to the group (IFRS norm);
- Manage, from an accounting point of view, the Activation costs and Assets creation under IFRS rules, based on internal policies;
- Others
- Maintain company accounting procedures and processes, and create the path to implement IFRS as Local Norm
- Support HR with employee’s administrative issues and HR report
- Ensure compliance with all internal processes.
- Accompany the growth of the company.
- Education and Technical Skills Level (academic degree, experience, courses, habilitations, language, …)
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
- Previous experience as an accountant/auditor considered as a plus
- Excellent computer skills; MS-Office Suite.
- Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation a plus.
- Proficiency with consolidation software would be highly appreciated.
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles,
- and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong knowledge of UK fiscal law
- Proficiency with IFRS norms and Reporting
- Able to analyze financial records and interpret for other departments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- French language will be a plus.
- 10 years experiences minimum on a Multinational Environment

Salary: £90,000 to £100,000 per annum
