The Team advises household name employers in both the public and private sectors on human resource issues from day to day matters to strategic management issues both in the UK and cross-border. The Team handles approximately 1,000 Employment Tribunal claims each year and is the largest user of the EAT.

Role Responsibility

  • Undertake a busy and varied workload of employment matters advising all types
  • A varied workload of employment matters advising employers in a variety of sectors, including health, tech and financial services.
  • Progress and manage a wide variety of client matters both contentious and non-contentious, and of varying complexity and scale.
  • Marketing activities with existing clients and potential clients.
  • Presenting and assisting in client training and other external seminars.
  • Maintain and develop technical knowledge.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Enthusiasm for employment law and great people skills
  • An experienced Associate (ideally 3-6 PQE)
  • Solid academic track record
  • Reasonable level of self-sufficiency, with judgment to seek supervision.
  • A client focused and commercial perspective rather than an ‘academic’ approach
  • Able to learn quickly ‘on the job’
  • Team oriented and collegiate
  • Willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the team.
