The Electrical Engineering Technical Leader reports to the Mobile Mill Engineering Manager. Receives direction in the form of broadly defined objectives. Assignments may vary from individual contribution to team leadership. Communicates directly with the project sponsors in defining project scope. Responsibilities include project results, project control and effective use of resources. Incumbent is a recognized converting or manufacturing process leader, possesses high standards of professional performance, displays vision and demonstrates both personal and organizational sensitivity.
In this role, you will:
- Design and Development: Provides guidance in the initiation, design, optimization and development of manufacturing and supporting processes to achieve unit objectives.
- Technical Knowledge: Develops knowledge and skills to be recognized for expertise and functional leadership in application of engineering principles and/or scientific analysis. Provides advice and counsel sought by others.
- Security and Documentation: Provides leadership in security and documentation to ensure the retrieval of data and protection of proprietary information.
- Problem Solving: Seeks, recognizes, defines, and solves problems/opportunities to achieve unit objectives.
- Arc Flash safety program including fault analysis, equipment labeling, and PPE standards.
- Plant spare electric motor program and repair specification.
- Critical electrical equipment (V/S drives, DCS, PLC’s, power distribution equipment) life cycle management.
- Design and implement Arc Flash mitigation projects.

To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 12+ years of progressive experience in a variety of mill and/or staff assignments. Ability to work individually and as part of team. Ability to operate with a minimum of technical direction. Recognized experience and knowledge in at least one area of technology. Demonstrated leadership in achieving results.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Willingness to flex work hours as necessary to engage with global teams and supply partners in various time zones.
