<p> The trucking driver recruiter is tasked with identifying, attracting, and hiring Class 1 tractor-trailer and container drayage drivers. This role involves understanding the unique requirements and challenges of the trucking industry, promoting the company&#8217;s benefits, and ensuring a steady influx of qualified drivers to meet operational needs.</p>
<p> <b>Key Accountabilities</b> </p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and implement recruiting strategies tailored for Class 1 tractor-trailer and container drayage drivers.</li>
<li>Post job openings on relevant platforms, attend job fairs, and use networking techniques to reach potential drivers.</li>
<li>Screen and interview applicants to evaluate their qualifications, experience, and fit for the company.</li>
<li>Coordinate with operations and HR teams to understand current and forecasted hiring needs.</li>
<li>Promote the company&#8217;s compensation packages, benefits, and opportunities for growth to potential hires.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations during the recruitment process.</li>
<li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, compensation rates, and competitors&#8217; offerings.</li>
<li>Collaborate with training teams to ensure new hires undergo proper onboarding and training processes.</li>
<li>Track and report on recruiting metrics, such as applicant source, time-to-hire, and cost-per-hire.</li>
<li>Address concerns and questions from potential hires, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the job expectations and company culture.</li>

<p> <b>Qualifications</b></p>

<li>Previous experience in recruitment, preferably within the trucking industry.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of the specific requirements and challenges faced by Class 1 tractor-trailer and container drayage drivers.</li>

<li>Ability to sell the company&#8217;s value proposition to potential hires.</li>
<li>Familiarity with recruiting platforms and tools tailored for the transportation sector.</li>
<li>Knowledge of transportation and hiring regulations.</li>
<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.</li>
<li>Awareness of Public Safety and Security measures in place to prevent injuries.</li>
