<p><strong>Super Eagles</strong> midfielder <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/dele-bashiru"><strong><u><b>Fisayo Dele-Bashiru</b></u></strong></a> is on course to make a timely return from injury as Nigeria gears up for crucial 2026 World Cup qualifiers.</p>
<p>Eric Chelle’s men will face Rwanda and Zimbabwe later this March.</p>
<p>The 24-year-old, currently on loan at Lazio from Turkish side Hatayspor, suffered an ankle injury on February 22 during a goalless draw against Venezia.</p>
<p>Initially ruled out for 15 days, Dele-Bashiru has been making steady progress and could be fit for selection.</p>
<p>According to reports from Italy, the Manchester City academy graduate participated in rondo drills and individual fitness exercises on Tuesday, signaling an imminent return.</p>
<p>While he is unlikely to feature in Lazio’s upcoming trip to Plzeň, he may be available against Udinese.</p>
<p>His return would be a significant boost for Nigeria, with the Super Eagles needing positive results in their World Cup qualifying campaign.</p>
<p>Since earning his first cap in October 2023, Dele-Bashiru has made six appearances for Nigeria, scoring twice, against South Africa and Libya.</p>
