<p>The <a target="_blank" href="http://gistreel.com/tag/Deeper-Life-Bible-Church"><strong>Deeper Life Bible Church</strong></a> has raised an alarm over the demolition of several of its properties across Lagos State by government agencies, describing the incidents as unjustified, targeted, and deeply concerning.</p>
<p>In a statement issued by its legal counsel, Nojim Tairu &; Co., the church alleged a pattern of interference by certain state authorities, which it said had led to harassment, threats, and restrictions on its worship and community activities.</p>
<p><em>“Over the past months, our church has faced an unsettling pattern of interference from certain state agencies, resulting in harassment, threats of demolition, and restrictions on our places of worship and community centers,”</em> the statement read.</p>
<p>The church specifically mentioned the recent demolitions of three of its facilities:</p>
<ul>
<li><em>Chronicle Yaba Church</em>, reportedly demolished by the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA);</li>
<li><em>Olorunishola Church</em>, brought down by the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA); and</li>
<li><em>Lawanson Church</em>, allegedly demolished by the Surulere Local Government.</li>
</ul>
<p><em>“These actions not only infringe on the rights of our congregation but also raise serious concerns about religious freedom, property rights, and due process in Lagos State,”</em> the church added.</p>
<p>Deeper Life Bible Church called on <strong>Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu</strong> and other relevant authorities to investigate the demolitions and act swiftly to ensure justice and accountability. It emphasised its history of peaceful conduct and law-abiding operations.</p>
<p><em>“Deeper Life Bible Church has always abided by the law and promoted peace among all communities. These recent developments, however, necessitate urgent attention to prevent further erosion of public trust and religious harmony,</em>” the statement said.</p>
<p>The church also appealed to members of the public, religious bodies, legal professionals, and the global faith community to support its call for fairness and the protection of religious freedoms.</p>
<p><em>“We remain committed to our mission of spiritual growth, humanitarian service, and social development. We will not be deterred by these challenges and are prepared to explore all legal avenues to uphold our rights and preserve our sanctuaries,”</em> the statement concluded.</p>
