<p><strong>Nigeria internationa</strong>l <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/cyriel-dessers"><strong>Cyriel Dessers</strong></a> has been named <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/rangers"><strong>Rangers’</strong></a> top scorer for the 2024/25 campaign.</p>
<p>Dessers received the accolade during the club’s annual Player Awards Ceremony held on Sunday night.</p>
<p>The 30-year-old forward netted 24 goals across all competitions for the Light Blues, strengthening his role as a key contributor to Rangers’ attacking efforts.</p>
<p>His most recent goal came in the 2-2 draw against St Mirren last Saturday, showing his consistent scoring form throughout the season.</p>
<p>Dessers succeeds club captain James Tavernier, who claimed the top scorer award during the previous campaign.</p>
<p>It marks another career highlight for the Nigerian, who has continued to enhance his reputation in Scottish football.</p>
<p>Notably, Dessers was also nominated for Rangers’ 2023/24 Goal of the Season award but narrowly missed out, with Rabbi Matondo winning the honour for his memorable strike against Celtic in the Old Firm derby.</p>
