in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Risk Reduction and Resilience &lpar;Alberta and Northwest Territories&rpar; and working in partnership with communities&comma; contributes towards implementing Risk Reduction and Resiliency &lpar;RRR&rpar;&sol;Creating Safe Environments &lpar;CSE&rpar; initiatives following approved plans&comma; utilizing a community-led development&sol;resilience approach&period; The coordinator has shared direct responsibilities for program monitoring within the assigned geographic area&period;<&sol;p>&NewLine;<p><b>In this role&comma; you will&colon;<&sol;b><&sol;p>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>Following the communities’ invitation and their leadership&comma; assists in the development of relationships and works in partnership with local like-minded organizations and the communities themselves to identify and meet their needs in the respective area&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>Contributes to community partnerships to support Red Cross activities related to resilience building with a focus on RRR&comma; which recognize&comma; respect&comma; and respond to the full diversity of the communities within Alberta&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>To work alongside Indigenous communities to support stronger&comma; annual operational planning&comma; and quarterly business reporting for RRR activities in Alberta&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<p><b>What we are looking for&colon;<&sol;b><&sol;p>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>Completion of post-secondary studies in Indigenous Studies&comma; Community Studies&comma; Emergency Management&comma; and Social Work&sol;Human Services &lpar;or related fields&rpar;&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>At least 3 to 5 years of job-related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>Strong oral and written communication skills in English are essential&period; Fluency in an Indigenous language is an asset&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>Proven program design&comma; management&comma; and delivery experience in complex environments&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>A valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driver’s abstract is mandatory&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>Facilitation skills for a broad range of audiences using interactive techniques building on youth and adult learning&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>Experience and understanding of working in more rural and remote communities&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>Demonstrated experience working and collaborating with Indigenous communities and&sol;or agencies to achieve shared goals is an asset&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<p><b>Working conditions&colon;<&sol;b><&sol;p>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>Work will be performed in a home office and an in-person community engagement environment&period;<&sol;li>&NewLine;<&sol;ul>&NewLine;<ul>&NewLine;<li>Work-related travel is a job requirement&comma;
