Wakefield Council are looking for Social Worker in its CIC Team.
Essential experience:
- Social work in child care, including children subject to Child in need plans/child looked after plans/child protection and care proceedings.
- Assessment and planning in statutory child care.
Essential knowledge of current child care legislation and guidance plus:
- An understanding of child development, including attachment theory.
- Knowledge of the assessment framework
- Ability to:
Relate theory to practice
Assess and Evaluate
- Communicate in writing to a high level (produce reports)
- Communicate orally to a high level (present information clearly to service users/colleagues and other agencies
Essential Requirements:
- Social Work Qualification – Degree or equivalent
- At least 2 years experience as a social worker within childrens services
- Social Work England Registration
- Driving license and access to own vehicle
