Job Description:
As a Social Worker specializing in Children & Families, you will play a pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. You will work closely with families, children, and partner agencies to assess needs,
develop care plans, and provide support to ensure the best outcomes for vulnerable children.
Responsibilities: * Conduct assessments of children and families to identify risks, needs, and strengths.
- Develop and implement care plans, ensuring they are child-centered and family-focused.
- Provide direct support and intervention to children and families, addressing issues such as child protection, neglect, and family breakdown.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, partner agencies, and community resources to provide holistic support.
- Participate in case conferences, court proceedings, and other relevant forums as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, reports, and case notes.
- Advocate for the rights and best interests of children and families.
Qualifications: * Social Work degree or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in a social work role, preferably within Children & Families services.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies governing child protection and family support in the UK.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Empathy, cultural competence, and a commitment to social justice.
