<p><b>Job description</b>: Seven Social Care is seeking an experienced and passionate Children&#8217;s Social Worker to join our team in Leicester.</p>
<p> As a Children&#8217;s Social Worker, you will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and their families in line with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.</p>
<p> The rate of pay for this role is £32 &#8211; £38 per hour.</p>
<p> <b>Key responsibilities will include:</b></p>
<p> &#8211; Undertaking social work assessments and investigations to identify and manage risks to children and young people</p>
<p> &#8211; Developing and implementing care plans to support children and young people within their families or in alternative care settings</p>
<p> &#8211; Working collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to provide effective interventions and support for children, young people and their families</p>
<p> &#8211; Preparing reports and attending meetings, including court hearings, as required</p>
<p> &#8211; Contributing to the development of social work practice and service delivery within the team and organisation</p>
<p> &#8211; Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of work, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures</p>
<p> <b>Requirements:</b></p>
<p> &#8211; A recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England</p>
<p> &#8211; Significant post-qualifying experience as a Children&#8217;s Social Worker, including Child Protection and Court work</p>
<p> &#8211; Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, professionals and service users</p>
<p> &#8211; Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies and procedures related to social work practice, including safeguarding and child protection</p>
<p> &#8211; The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing demands</p>
<p> &#8211; A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people</p>
