Chelsea boss, Mauricio Pochettino, says he believes his team can go on to win the Carabao Cup this season.
Pochettino spoke to the press immediately after Chelsea’s 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday.
The Argentine also described his captain, Reece James as the best full back in the world.
Chelsea suffered a defeat in the Premier League last weekend and needed today’s win to boost their confidence ahead of their crunch fixtures.
He said, “It;s important they, your captain stay fit and can help thhe team. One of the best full backs in the world.
“Unlucky he only played 70 minutes against Liverpool and until now didn’t play.
“Little by little he will get fit and cope with the demand of the games.
“Yes, I think so, we need to think this is an important competition for us because we are not in Europe and this should be a priority for us.”
