<p>A Nigerian <a target="_blank" href="http://gistreel.com/tag/businesswoman"><strong>businesswoman</strong></a>, identified as <strong>@Billionaire_dgb</strong> on X, has come under fire for publicly mocking a lady who begged her for <strong>â¦2,000</strong> to buy food.</p>
<p>The incident started when the lady politely sent a direct message, stating:<br /><em>“Abeg sorry for disturbing you, can u help me wit 1500 or 2k abeg, make I chop… my side dry. Just try for me pls.”</em></p>
<p>Rather than ignoring the request or responding politely, the businesswoman lashed out, replying:<br /><em>“You have never helped me repost my business tweet and I should come and give you money, don’t you think you are mad?”</em></p>

<p>Shocked by the response, the lady sent a long message, <strong>cursing the businesswoman</strong> and reminding her of the importance of kindness.</p>

<p>In retaliation, <strong>@Billionaire_dgb</strong> took the chats to her timeline, captioning it:<br /><em>“Between I and a beggar. I’m not one of those people that believes giving out money to beggars will make me grow. You cannot offer free things but you want money. @matthewelizzy you will continue to beg till you die, Alakpa.”</em></p>

<p>Instead of support, the businesswoman received massive backlash for her response. Many social media users criticized her for humiliating someone in need, calling her actions insensitive and unnecessary.</p>
<p>Following the outrage, <strong>@Billionaire_dgb</strong> apologized, explaining that she was in a bad mood and <a target="_blank" href="http://gistreel.com/tag/stranger"><strong>initially thought the stranger</strong></a> was inquiring about her shoe business.</p>
<p>She wrote, <em>“I was in a bad mood and was happy when I saw a stranger texting me. I thought the person was coming to inquire about shoes, which is why I asked if she was mad. Seeing the long epistle of insults and getting blocked made me bring it to the timeline, which was a very bad thing to do.”</em></p>
