Job description: The Public Sector Account Manager will manage relationships with the central government agencies

in Nigeria. The primary focus will be building solid partnerships, understanding customer needs,

actively promoting our solutions, and driving business growth. This role requires a deep

understanding of the Nigerian central government landscape, solid relationship-building skills, and

navigating complex procurement processes and funding programs.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute a strategic account plan for the central government sector in Nigeria,

actively pushing our solutions to Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

2. Engage with MDAs to understand their budget cycles and requirements. If an MDA still

needs a budget allocation for our proposed solution, proactively work with the MDA and

relevant stakeholders to ensure our solution is captured in the next year’s budget.

3. Monitor and proactively participate in RFIs (Request for Information) or RFPs (Request for

Proposals) being issued by MDAs, ensuring our company’s solutions and services are

favorably positioned.

4. Constantly monitor and follow up on funding programs from Global Development

organizations, such as UN, EU-funded programs, USAID, and others. Actively participate in

relevant programs and ensure our company is well-positioned to secure funding and

projects.

5. Seek intervention funding programs for the government and assist MDAs in accessing these

funds while ensuring our company is awarded the projects.

6. Develop a deep understanding of the MDA’s account structure, including identifying

influencers, decision-makers, and any potential opposition to our company’s solutions.

Leverage this knowledge to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive successful

outcomes.

7. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to

align strategies, share market intelligence, and support business objectives.

8. Act as a trusted advisor to MDAs, providing industry insights, thought leadership, and

guidance on technology solutions and services.

9. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of sales activities, pipeline management, and revenue

forecasts for the central government accounts.

10. Stay updated on government initiatives, policies, and programs, and proactively identify

opportunities for the company to contribute and support its objectives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

1. Sales Revenue: Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets for

the assigned central government accounts.

2. Customer Acquisition: Acquire new central government accounts and expand the customer

base within the sector.

3. Solution Penetration: Increase the penetration of our solutions and services within existing

central government accounts.

4. Proposal Success Rate: Achieve a high success rate in winning RFIs and RFPs by effectively

positioning our solutions and services.

5. Budget Allocation: Secure budget allocations for our proposed solutions within the central

government accounts.

6. Funding Program Participation: Actively participate in funding programs from Global

Development organizations and secure project funding.

7. Customer Satisfaction: Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by understanding their

needs and ensuring timely and effective delivery of solutions and services.

8. Relationship Building: Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers,

and influencers within central government agencies.

9. Market Knowledge: Stay updated on market trends, policy changes, and industry

developments affecting the central government sector.

10. Reporting and Forecasting: Provide accurate and timely reports on sales activities, pipeline

management, and revenue forecasts for the central government accounts.

Benefits

Compensation Structure: The compensation package for this position includes a competitive basic

salary and a sales commission component. The sales commission will be based on achieving

and exceeding the sales revenue targets. The specific details of the commission structure will be

provided upon employment and will be based on the company’s commission policy.

Continued employment and career progression will be based on performance, with regular

performance evaluations conducted to assess adherence to KPIs and overall job performance. Highperforming

individuals who consistently meet or exceed their targets will be eligible for bonuses and

incentives as part of their remuneration package.

The KPIs mentioned above are general indicators, and the specific targets and weightage assigned to

each KPI may vary based on the organization’s goals, market conditions, and the individual’s posted

accounts.

The compensation structure and performance evaluation process will be communicated and

discussed during the hiring process to ensure transparency and alignment of expectations.

The expected Salary per Annum ranges between 3 million to 6 million, depending on the experience.
