<p> Vacancy on the Board of Trustees</p>
<p> We are looking to recruit trustees at The Oaklea Trust, which is a charity (Registered Charity No 1091722) and its subsidiary Right2Work, which operate across the North of England. We work with a range of stakeholders and partners, seeks to provide the finest support for people and communities in the kindest possible way so that they can learn, develop and thrive.</p>
<p> Board Member – The Role:</p>
<p> We are looking for additional Trustee’s from across the North East of England to support our charity and the services that operate in County Durham and Northumberland.</p>
<p> There will be occasional travel to attend quarterly board meetings in Kendal, Cumbria and expenses will be covered by the Trust to support this.</p>
<p> Board Member – The candidate:</p>
<p> If you have experience and knowledge in strategic planning, corporate and charities law, fundraising, project management such as building design and planning then we would love to hear from you.</p>
<p> The following areas are of particular interest but are not exclusive:<br />

<li>Strategic vision</li>
<li>Independent judgement</li>
<li>Willingness to give time and commitment to being a trustee.</li>
</ul>
<p> The post of trustee is unpaid but will provide a great deal of experience and satisfaction. Trustees meet four times a year, and members of Board sub committees meet regularly. Training and development is available to trustees.</p>
<p> We are particularly keen to achieve a more diverse board of trustees and welcome applications from all sections of the community.</p>
