Are you looking for an opportunity to influence and drive the success of a company and influence innovation with the education sector?
This is a unique opportunity to join the Board of The Education Space, a subsidiary of NPW Limited setup to form commercial partnerships and develop products that propel innovation within the education sector.
Whilst, NPW Limited is a not-for-profit organisation owned by Newham schools, The Education Space aims to be a focal point for developing ‘tomorrow’s world’ as the parent company continues its success in delivering services for today.
Over the last two years, NPW Limited has built a solid foundation by delivering high quality, cost effective services and transforming its operations to allow for surpluses to be invested into innovative solutions and commercial partnerships.
Person Specification
We are aiming to attract individuals who have a wide personal network and can accelerate commercial partnerships.
Experience in the following areas are sought:
- Commercial Models (JV, Mergers, Acquisitions) preferably with a financial management background
- Commercial due diligence experience and deal brokerage
- Startups and Product Development
Term of office
Directors serve on a voluntary basis for a period of three years.
What is the expected time-commitment?
Directors are expected to attend Board meetings, which are termly (three times per year), the annual general meeting, and take an active role in committees, undertaking associated actions. There are currently three committees: Finance and Audit Committee meeting twice-termly, Nominations Committee meeting once per term, and Pensions Committee meeting annually. Attendance is also expected at the annual Board Development Day, which is focussed around the development of the company, its board, and its directors.
