The billionaire lifestyle of a yahoo boy has come to an end, as he has been sentenced to two years in prison in Abuja.
The convict, Chima Hyginus Nkwocha, a.k.a “Young Billionaire,” was sentenced after he was found guilty of cheating by impersonation and money laundering.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, who secured the conviction, in a statement, revealed that Nkwocha was jailed on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
According to the statement, Nkwocha was arraigned before Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Maitama, Abuja, on a two-count charge bordering on cheating by impersonation and money laundering.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the charges when they were read to him.
Following his guilty plea, prosecution counsel, Lanre Adeola Olariwaju, reviewed the case against Nkwocha and prayed the court to convict him accordingly.
