Barcelona are considering offering Ansu Fati a contract extension until 2030, despite ongoing doubts over his future at the club.

The 22-year-old forward has struggled with injuries in recent seasons and has yet to establish himself in Hansi Flick’s squad.

While Barcelona were open to selling him, Fati has rejected multiple transfer offers, including lucrative moves to Saudi Arabia, as he remains determined to prove himself at the club.

However, with the club eager to reduce their wage bill, Barcelona are exploring an alternative approach.

According to Sport, they may propose a five-year contract extension with a significant salary reduction.

His current deal runs until 2027, and rather than paying him the €26 million owed over the next two years, the club hopes to spread that amount across a longer contract to ease financial pressure.

It remains uncertain whether Fati will accept the offer, as rejecting it could see him forced out of the club by 2027 when his existing deal expires.

The Catalan side are expected to push for a resolution in the coming months.
