Barcelona left no prisoner in their stunning 3-0 win against Spanish rivals Atletico Madrid on Sunday night.

While Barcelona’s hopes of defending their league title may be in doubt, their performance against Atletico Madrid showed resolve to finish the season on a high note.

The win takes the Catalans back into second place in the table, while Atletico Madrid’s top-four hopes face uncertainty.

Adding to Atletico’s woes, Robert Lewandowski extended Barcelona’s lead after the halftime break.

As Barcelona seized control of the game, Fermin Lopez put the result beyond doubt with a late header, sealing all three points for the visitors.

Atletico Madrid’s frustrations were compounded further when Nahuel Molina was shown a red card in added time.

Atletico Madrid’s slip in form see them now outside of the Champions League qualification spots, with nine games to go.
