Barcelona picked a hard-fought 1-0 win over Mallorca in La Liga as they prepare for their crucial Champions League clash against Napoli.

The win sees them temporarily close the gap to five points behind league leaders Real Madrid.

Barcelona made changes to their starting lineup, with an eye on the upcoming Champions League quarter-final second leg match against Napoli.

However, they struggled to find their fit against a strong Mallorca side.

The first half saw few clear-cut chances that were not converted for both sides, with Ilkay Gundogan missing a penalty for Barcelona in the 24th minute .

Both teams also hit the woodwork in the second half, with Lamine Yamal’s effort for Barcelona striking the crossbar.

While the game seemed destined for a draw, Lamine Yamal produced a moment of individual brilliance, curling home the winning goal.

The victory sets Barcelona up for their Champions League clash with Napoli, where they will look to overturn a deficit and advance to the next round.
