Barcelona Sporting Director Deco is reportedly monitoring Chelsea’s Carney Chukwuemeka and Romeo Lavia as potential January signings.
The Catalan club, after a quiet summer in terms of paid transfers due to salary limits, are now exploring economic options to bolstera the squad.
Despite the club initially targeting a midfielder, manager Hansi Flick believes Barcelona are well-covered in that position.
However, Deco remains keen on Chelsea’s talents. Chukwuemeka, who was reportedly offered to Barcelona on loan, is seen as an attractive option due to Chelsea’s overcrowded squad.
Lavia, signed by Chelsea last year for €60 million after a battle with Liverpool, is another player Deco has his eye on, particularly due to his limited appearances this season following a serious injury.
