We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join our Private Client team in Gatwick, focusing on probate matters.
Our Team/Your Role
If you enjoy being part of a successful, friendly and high-performing team, then this is the job for you. Our top tier Legal 500 ranked Private Client team in Gatwick advise high net worth individuals and families on the legal and tax aspects of estate and succession planning and tax planning.
Given the work you’ll be dealing with, you’ll need extensive experience of probate and estate administration including those with international assets, as well as all round experience in private client practice.
About You
- An excellent background of advising on estate administration for complex and HNW estates, complex IHT returns and applications for probate, solid international estate experience, and good proficiency in post-death estate and tax planning including deeds of variation and trusts. A reliable understanding of HNW lifetime estate and tax planning, lifetime trusts and powers of attorneys will be important in this role.
- Ideally, STEP qualified or willing to work towards STEP qualification.
- Able to demonstrate strong financial disciplines and the ability to work collaboratively with other teams and external professionals.
- An enthusiastic team member, contributing to team growth through engagement in business development and possessing a passion for growing strong client and referrer relationships.
Exceptional candidates may be considered for Senior Associate grading.
