<p> <b>General Summary:</b></p>
<p> The Pricing &; Market Access Associate Director is responsible for supporting the development of Market Access strategies for a product or indication, as well as partnering cross-functionally on the Commercial and Development strategies for the upcoming Hematology Cell and Gene Therapy pipeline.</p>
<p> <b>Key Duties and Responsibilities:</b></p>
<p> Integrates Global payer strategic planning and execution into local plans to advance value and access optimization</p>
<p> Leads the development of Market Access strategies and core pricing &; access deliverables in Canada</p>
<p> Ensures the payer position is consistently represented to internal cross-functional stakeholders and ensure robust strategic input into commercialization and development decisions</p>
<p> Ensures robust value proposition and integrated evidence plans are optimized to support local market access and reimbursement</p>
<p> Contributes to strategies and forecasts with in-depth market research, environmental data &; analogs</p>
<p> Works across pan-Canadian stakeholders to ensure consistency of messaging while taking into consideration localized nuances</p>
<p> Works collaboratively with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Public Affairs, Patient Support and Finance to ensure optimal reimbursement for our products</p>
<p> Responsible for all phases of lifecycle management from pipeline planning to post reimbursement optimization</p>
<p> <b>Knowledge and Skills:</b></p>
<p> Extensive knowledge of Canadian reimbursement stakeholders including CADTH, INESSS, PCPA and PMPRB</p>
<p> Experience negotiation with public and private insurers</p>
<p> Ability to think strategically and make sound pricing and market access recommendations</p>
<p> Strong practical, quantitative and analytical skills combined with a sound understanding of how to successfully apply pricing &; reimbursement / HEOR principles to support Vertex</p>
<p> Exhibits outstanding written and oral communication skills, including the ability to effectively write and deliver presentations to professionals at all levels within Vertex</p>
<p> The ability to understand, interpret, and critically appraise data from various sources (clinical trial, health economic, financial, etc.).</p>
<p> Relationship building at all levels of the organization and across geographies</p>
<p> Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate difficult concepts and persuade others</p>
<p> Experience in Cell and Gene Therapies preferred</p>
<p> <b>Education and Experience:</b></p>
<p> Bachelor&#8217;s degree in relevant field</p>
<p> At least 8 years of Market Access experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience</p>
<p> Bilingual (English/French) strongly preferred</p>
<p> (Please note this is a hybrid role which requires three days onsite in the Toronto office. )</p>
