<p><strong>Manchester United</strong> have confirmed the signing of Danish left-back <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/tag/patrick-dorgu"><strong>Patrick Dorgu</strong></a> from Lecce, marking <a target="_blank" href="https://gistreel.com/?s=ruben+amorim"><strong>Ruben Amorim’s</strong></a> first signing as head coach.</p>
<p>Dorgu, 20, has joined the Red Devils on a five-year deal, with United paying an initial £25 million plus £4 million in potential bonuses.</p>
<p>The highly-rated defender arrives from Serie A, where he has impressed with his versatility and attacking ability.</p>
<p>Expressing his excitement, Dorgu said, “I am incredibly proud to be able to call myself a Manchester United player; this is a very special day for my whole family.</p>

<p>“I cannot wait to work with Ruben Amorim; his vision for this team and the future of the club is incredibly exciting.</p>
<p>“There is a clear plan set out for my development, and I feel that Manchester United is the perfect place to fulfill my potential and complete my huge ambitions.”</p>
<p>The Danish international is expected to provide much-needed depth on the left flank, a position that has troubled United due to the long-term injuries of Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia.</p>
<p>His ability to play as a wing-back or even in an advanced role will fit well into Amorim’s preferred 3-4-2-1 system.</p>
