<b>Job title:</b> American Indian Services &#8211; Cultural Experiential Learning Student Advocate<br />

<p><b>Job description</b>: Purpose of Position: This is a new position that will support district programming in hands-on experiential learning activities. This person will also directly assist in the planning and preparation of the new cultural learning site.</p>
<p> Terms of Employment: 7.5 hours per day, 5 days per week, student calendar days (171 days per year). Primarily located at Robert J. Elkington Middle School. Employment is based on grant funding.</p>
<p> Starting wage: $18.00 per hour</p>
<p> Basic Responsibilities: Provide services to all Native American students, families, and staff in ISD 318 school district according to grant goals and the 7 grandfather teachings.</p>
<p> <b>QUALIFICATIONS:</b><br />
 <br /> Education or experience required: High School Diploma/GED, or Associates degree, or Para Pro certification, or Experience of Native American culture and environment</p>
<p> Skills Required: Ability to effectivity communicate with students, staff and families. Ability to work as an effective team member. Ability to implement programming strategies as directed by the Indian Services director, and grant goals. Confidentiality. Need to be self-directed, have good management skills, and use current technology.</p>
<p> Experience Required: Experience and knowledge of American Indian cultures, education, and community affairs is a must.</p>
