<p> Collingwood Neighbourhood House&#8217;s mandate is to promote the well-being of the Renfrew-Collingwood community by providing leadership and working collaboratively with individuals, families, agencies and other groups to develop and support inclusive, innovative, sustainable initiatives and services that respond to the community&#8217;s social, educational, economic, health, cultural and recreational needs.</p>
<p><b>JOB OVERVIEW</b><br />
 The adult Volleyball and Soccer programs are one of the most popular adult recreation programs at CNH. The Volleyball and Soccer Supervisor is responsible for overseeing set up, tear down and ensuring participants, both new and seasoned players, are welcomed and feel comfortable to play. The supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the program runs smoothly and ensuring the safe participation of players.</p>
<p><b>JOB RESPONSIBILITIES</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the setup and take down of Volleyball nets and Soccer Equipment</li>
<li>Administer First Aid when necessary and manage emergency situations as they arise</li>
<li>Create a fun, enjoyable and safe atmosphere for non-competitive play</li>
<li>Demonstrate understanding of and respect for the Adult Recreation Program</li>
<li>The Adult Volleyball and Soccer Program Supervisor, will report to the Recreation Manager</li>
</ul>
<p><b>QUALIFICATIONS</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Must be 19 years of age and eligible to work in Canada</li>
<li>Experience working with adult participants in soccer and volleyball programs</li>
<li>Current First Aid certificate required</li>
<li>Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to deal with and prevent conflict situation among participants</li>
<li>Ability to work within a multicultural/intercultural environment</li>
<li>Must have or be willing to get a Criminal Record Check</li>
<li>Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19</li>
<li>Second language an asset</li>
</ul>

<li>Salary: $18.36-$19.76 per hour</li>
<li>Schedule: Monday to Thursday from 8:15-10:15 pm</li>
<li>Location: 5288 Joyce Street</li>
<li>Expected Start Date: January 18, 2024</li>
</ul>
<p> This is a unionized position covered by a Collective Agreement with CUPE Local 1936</p>
