Salary: £40,000 to £50,000
This group has been at the forefront of African cuisine for the past 30 years. Their food is full of character and beautifully presented and they are currently running several sites across London.
The ideal candidate MUST be a Chartered Accountant and have a background in Hospitality, ideally in a multi-site organisation. You will ensure adequate and appropriate financial controls, processes and procedures exist in respect of day-to-day financial functions, whilst assisting with the year-end audit.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for day-to-day accounting and finance requirements, working closely with the finance director and external accounting company.
The ideal accountant will handle full sets of accounts and maintain proper accounting records, including preparation of month-end closing, monthly schedules, and group reporting packages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and submission of monthly VAT claims.
- Process payment in an accurate and timely manner and in accordance with the company’s SOP.
- Liaise with the internal and external auditors, tax consultants, and bankers on all finance-related matters
- Oversee the implementation of the accounting system with the relevant internal controls and corporate governance framework and ensure that financial controls are adhered to.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with the company’s standard operating policies, accounting, taxation, and other regulatory requirements.
- Supervise support staff on all spectrum of finance matters.
- Perform other ad-hoc assignments and projects as and when assigned.
The successful candidate.
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA fully qualified.
- Accruals – the ability to set up schedules and processes.
- Ability to manage AP reconciliations and clear up.
- P&L – monitoring and allocation of costs to the correct cost centre.
- Demonstrated ability to stick to deadlines in fast fast-paced environment.
