<p><b>Position</b></p>
<p> The Department of Computing Science invites applications for a full-time, term Academic Teaching Staff (ATS) member. Currently, the list of courses the ATS member may be required to teach (all or part of) includes: </p>
<ul>
<li>CMPUT 404 &#8211; Web Applications and Architecture</li>
<li>CMPUT 402 &#8211; Software Quality</li>
<li>CMPUT 401 &#8211; Software Process and Product Management</li>
<li>CMPUT 302 &#8211; Introduction to Human Computer Interaction</li>
<li>CMPUT 301 &#8211; Introduction to Software Engineering</li>
<li>CMPUT 291 &#8211; Introduction to File and Database Management</li>
<li>CMPUT 201 &#8211; Practical Programming Methodology</li>
</ul>

<p> Other courses may be considered as conditions change, and depending on the qualifications of the candidate.</p>
<p> Also, the ATS member has duties to support teaching more broadly, which includes coordinating with the Department to: manage TA resources (e.g., process applications, assign TAs to courses and labs, deliver TA orientation sessions), support instructors (e.g., help to update course materials, develop for online delivery, scale for higher enrollment), and support undergraduate program development (e.g., promote undergraduate research opportunities, design programs and curricula).</p>
<p> The appointment requires either a thesis-based M.Sc. or Ph.D. degree in a closely related discipline to computing science or software engineering. Successful teaching experience, especially in the context of team-based, capstone-project courses that cover processes and tools over the complete software lifecycle (from requirements to deployment) and use modern mobile, web, and/or cloud technologies is an asset.</p>
