Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola claims “maybe” Vinicius Junior deserved to win the 2024 Ballon d’Or award.
In a interview on Tuesday, the manager alluded maybe Vinicius deserved the title, even though his player Rodri Hernandez won it.
However, he was quick to add that the decision was not made by experts of the game.
“Vinicius should’ve won the Ballon d’or? Maybe, but it’s what happened.
“It’s journalists, it’s not a group of elite people that decide what they have to do.
“It’s all around the world, it’s not just one country votes.
“If Vini would have won the Ballon d’Or, it would have been more than well deserved!.
“Like last season with Erling Haaland… and he didn’t win!.
“Erling was there, he was happy, and congratulate Messi and okay, let’s try to do next season!,” he added.
