Job description: XEIAD are the largest provider of civil infrastructure inspections in the UK.
We pride ourselves on supporting the end to end management of a range of civil engineering assets, helping asset owners and managers keep critical infrastructure safe, reduce risk and maintenance costs as well as extend asset life.
Specialising in difficult access our teams have extensive experience inspecting structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, tunnels, and shafts across industry sectors such as Rail, Highways, Marine, Utilities and Defence.
We are currently engaged in the delivery of numerous projects throughout the UK for and on behalf of many asset owners, managers and a large diversity of engineering consultancies including Network Rail, National Highways, Balfour Beatty, Kier and Atkins to name just a few.
Having recently joined the British Engineering Services Group we are able to offer our customers even more critical asset and risk management services.
Our Infrastructure Services Division (XIS) provide a cost effective solution to complex access issues with minimal environmental impact. XIS offer a variety of enabling works including Brush cutting, hedge trimming, clearing debris from Bridge bearings, removal of advertisement hoardings, CCTV, brickwork removal/reinstatement, fence removal/reinstatement, debris removal and pigeon netting removal/reinstatement.
Key Responsibilities
To support the delivery of structural examinations in the Rail environment by undertaking enabling works (such as de-vegetation and other minor works) as directed by the Enabling Works Supervisor
- To deliver a variety of enabling works including (but not limited to) brush cutting, hedge trimming, clearing debris from bridge bearings, removal of advertisement hoardings, CCTV, brickwork removal/reinstatement, fence removal/re-instatement in accordance with company values
- To record close calls as identified and report through appropriate systems
- To put safety and well-being at the forefront of every task every time
- To work to specification / documentation in accordance with life-saving rules and appropriate policies & procedures
- To promote safe working practices, setting the example for others to follow
- To behave in an inclusive manner at all times

Essential Experience, Qualifications & Skills
- Recent experience in a railway environment or building site.
- Full clean driving licence
