The Vivo iQOO U1x is a mid-range device that was officially announced in China. The smartphone is the advanced version of the Vivo iQOO U1 that was release around July this year. Vivo iQOO U1x sports a 6.51-inch IPS display and three rear cameras.

This new version comes with a bigger battery, Snapdragon 662, and a 13 MP triple cameras setup.

Design and Display

On the body, it packs a nice looking design that is built with plastic. This plastic is available in classic colors variant such as Black and Blue with a reflection of lights.

The frame is also built with plastic while the front has glass. The handset measures 164.4 x 76.3 x 8.4 mm and weighs 192 grams.

On the front, it has a waterdrop notch against the punch hole on the Vivo iQOO U1. The notch paves the way to a large display size of 6.51-inch IPS LCD screen offering a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.

The notch supports 296ppi pixel density and an aspect ratio of 20:9 making the large view more vivid. You can use the device with one hand. In the case of a minor fall, there is display protection as well.


The waterdrop notch is where the maker hides the front camera of 8-megapixel with its f/1.8 aperture. The wide shooter can record up to 1080P videos.

Meanwhile, the backside shows a rectangle-shaped camera module. The first shooter is a 13-megapixel with f/2.2 aperture, the secondary shooter is a macro lens of 2-megapixel with f/2.4 aperture and 4cm focal length, and lastly is the 2-megapixel bokeh camera. Users will enjoy nice photos on this budget device.

Driven the whole system is a Qualcomm SM6115 Snapdragon 662 chipset with an 11 nm octa-core processor clocking at a speed of 2.0 GHz. The smartphone is equipped with Adreno 610 GPU graphics and runs on an Android 10 operating system with IQOO UI 1.0 on top.

It has an internal memory of 64GB + 4GB RAM, another model comes with a 64GB + 6GB RAM while the highest stoped at 128GB coupled with a huge 8GB RAM. You have to be careful here when choosing storage units because there is no support for SDcard.

Battery and Network

Powering the Vivo iQOO U1x is a 5000 mAh battery that has support for 18W charging. As for the network, it features dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, micro USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack for entertainment.
