The brother of Nigerian influencer VeryDarkMan has spoken out following his arrest, recounting the emotional moment their mother broke down in tears inside GTbank.
In a post shared on X (formerly Twitter), he revealed that their mother was devastated after police officers allegedly stormed GTBank and arrested VeryDarkMan.

Recall that reports had earlier emerged detailing how the social media personality was arrested in Abuja by the police, reportedly on the orders of GTBank.
He and his mother had visited the bank to protest the illegal deductions being made from her account, despite not owing any loans.
According to earlier reports, while the bank staff were still attending to them and reviewing their complaint, officers allegedly arrived and picked up VeryDarkMan.
Narrating what happened, his brother said:
“I got a call from my mum—she was crying. She said policemen came and arrested my brother. On what basis? Is it a crime to speak for Nigerians when people are blind?”
As of the time of filing this report, neither GTBank nor the Nigeria Police Force has issued an official statement.
There are also unconfirmed claims that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) may be involved, although the agency has yet to confirm or deny the reports.
