Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions.

• Order parts, supplies, or equipment from catalogs or suppliers.

Skills Abilities, & Preferred Qualifications:

• Preferred Experience – 2+ years’ experience maintaining CNC machines.
• The individual must possess good communication skills both verbally and written.
• Use computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
• The individual must have a good Customer Service oriented perceptiveness.
• Knowledge of: Hydraulics, Pneumatics and Electrical systems, comfortable with 480V 3phase.
• Preferred experience: PLC control systems.
• Must have skilled trade experience in electric, plumbing, carpentry, welding & light equipment operation.

CNC Mill Programmer Job Responsibilities:

• Print reading: Understanding what needs to be machined and what type of tolerance you must maintain to produce quality details.
• Inspection: Inspecting the details at the beginning before machining to ensure that tolerances have been met and the detail is correct.
• Programming: Using Mastercam software to program multiple details. Making sure you have the correct CAD. Following the standard machining practices taught by company.
• G Code Editing: Editing the G code for an easier program to change offsets and finish details in a timely fashion, finding errors, or troubleshooting.
• Set up: Setting up parts in the machine according to how you program them. Making sure the part is flat, straight, correct side up and with a correct zero set off print or CAD.
• Attention to detail on various tolerances: Constantly checking CAD compared to print to maintain you are keeping correct sizes of details. Measuring and adjusting the program as needed during machining.
• Preventative Maintenance: Performing cleaning process every three months on the machine.
• Using various measuring tools: Indicators, micrometers, dial calipers, bore gauges, etc.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience with CNC milling machines is required, EDM experience is helpful.
• Basic understanding of CAD/CAM systems.
• Journeyman certification preferred.
• Effective communication skills: verbal, phone and written.
• Strong mechanical and shop math aptitude.
• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
• Basic PC competency to include MS Word, Excel, and internet.

• Responsible for part quality coming off press.

Stormwater Operations

Performs locates, installation, maintenance and repair, to the enclosed and open Stormwater drainage conveyance system and their appurtenances. Forming, pouring, and finishing of concrete is part of the maintenance of drainage systems.

Performs roadway and right-of-way restoration relating to completed utility maintenance and repair.

Equipment Operation

Operates specialized equipment, such as vacuum trucks, sewer flushing devices, rodding equipment, jetting equipment, television evaluation equipment, open-channel flow meters and other related equipment used in wastewater and storm water collection system maintenance, including relief of storm and sanitary sewer stoppages, cleaning of lines, maintenance of manholes, catch basins (structures), and investigation of inflow and infiltration.

Operates specialized equipment, such as backhoes, trenchers, tapping machines, boring machines and other related equipment required to install, maintain and repair utility system mains, services and their appurtenances, including tapping of water mains and installing new water services.

General Duties

Responds to customer complaints relating to storm water systems, including water quality concerns, Stormwater backups and odors.

Maintains equipment and vehicles as assigned.

Completes and submits work orders relating to all work performed in a professional and timely fashion.

Responds to emergency situations as required.

Work Hours: Monday – Thursday, 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. On-Call Required.

About You

Minimum Qualifications: A High School Diploma or its equivalent and two (2) years of experience in the construction, maintenance and repair of utility water distribution Stormwater conveyance systems and wastewater collection systems. Possession of a valid Florida Driver’s License at time of appointment. Must acquire Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or higher CDL with tanker endorsement within six (6) months from date of hire to be eligible to remain employed in this position.

Job Competencies: Knowledge of current technology in water distribution, wastewater collections, and storm water conveyance systems maintenance practices. Knowledge and safe operation of specialized tools and equipment used in potable, reuse, wastewater, and storm water conveyance systems maintenance and repair. Operation of backhoe, excavators, trencher, personal computers and mechanical tools used in utilities and the storm water maintenance industry. The ability to understand and follow oral/written instructions. Experience in the use of TV inspection, smoke testing and collection system flow monitoring equipment.

**Certifications for Safety Training: Hazcom; Confined Space; Hearing Protection; Bloodborne Pathogens; Workplace Violence; Lockout/Tagout, Fire Extinguisher; Asbestos; Personal Protective Equipment; Trenching Safety, Backhoe Operations, Chainsaw Safety and Forklifts.

About You

Job Competencies: Knowledge of minor construction, shop fabrication, painting, power tools, “handyman” skills and environmental stewardship.
