Supervise the administrative work of assigned supervisees to ensure adherence to quality standards and proper procedures, providing coaching when errors or problems with paperwork are discovered. Additionally, facilitate 2 consultation groups each week.

Properly prepare supervisees on completing supervision contracts and learning contracts and updates in preparation for transitioning to another Clinical Supervisor.

Participate in the planning, managing, and communication of supervisor teams and supervisor transitions of Mental Health Practitioners and Clinical Trainees, as assigned.

Provide training and instruction to newly hired Mental Health Practitioners in job duties and company policies, providing and/or arranging training as needed including coaching and mentoring specific to written paperwork. Additionally, assess their strengths and development needs, and provide timely and specific feedback on job duties, company policies and best practices.

Initiate, compile, and present monthly feedback from Clinical Supervisors regarding the performance of their Mental Health Practitioners and Clinical Trainees.

Coordinate with Onboarding Specialists and other staff to arrange for additional coaching and training of Mental Health Practitioners as needed.

Partner with staff on identifying and developing professional goals that encourage and support professional growth within the organization. Includes participating in Clinical Trainee training days and other company-initiated training and development.

Help train new Clinical Supervisors into CARE’s systems and communicate expectations and responsibilities of the role, as assigned.

Participate in clinical leadership meetings, as assigned.

Establish proper authority relationships among members of the work group and create a congenial work environment while supporting workplace policy and procedures.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and understand and comply with professional standards of practice.

Maintain all required training and certifications in accordance with state and organizational requirements including attendance at staff meetings and mandatory trainings.

Comply with all laws, regulations, policies, and ethical codes.

Attendance is an essential function of this position.

Education and Experience:

Doctoral degree REQUIRED in the behavioral sciences from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of one year prior supervisory experience.

Certifications/Licenses:

Planning

· Communicate with customers to arrange pick-up and delivery appointments

· Rebook delivery appointments with customers when exceptions occur

· Ensure key metrics are met

· Collaborate with Driver Managers to ensure fleet sizing is correct

· Order outside cartage from approved companies

· Confirm swamping requirements are ordered and met

Coordination Between Departments

· Coordinate with Terminal to ensure loads are preloaded on chassis, pad plans are correct to achieve customer delivery appointments, decongestion plans, and problem solving including missing bills and gate reporting issues

· Liaise with Customer Service as issues arise during pick-up or delivery, on-time metrics, and move priorities

· Communicate with Rail Planning to ensure correct reservations are applied, customer priorities are met, and recovery trucking is executed when required

The role has standard working conditions in an office environment with a varying 24-hour shift work from Monday to Sunday. Due to the nature of the role, the incumbent must be able to meet tight deadlines, handle pressure, and stress.

• Represents the Division at Council, Committee, legal proceedings and hearings, Ontario Golf Superintendents Association, Canadian Golf Superintendents Association, Western Ontario Superintendents Association, Sports Turf Association, Ontario Golf Association, and Canadian Professional Golf Association.
• Collects and analyzes feedback and information obtained from multiple user groups and surveys in order to assess the need for golf course upgrades and improved maintenance practices and procedures.
• Acts as a Supervisor under the definitions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and ensures that adequate training, safety equipment and safe work procedures are in place in order to develop a strong culture of Health and Safety and minimize any Health and Safety issues.

Key Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in a discipline pertinent to the job function or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Considerable experience in supervising activities associated with golf course maintenance and construction.
• Experience in the methods and practices associated with daily golf course maintenance and including maintenance of lawn bowling rinks.
• Considerable experience in the operation and application of diesel and gasoline powered equipment associated with golf course maintenance.
• Considerable experience in the operation of semi-automatic and automatic irrigation systems.
• Considerable experience and proficiency in computerized software packages such as MS Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, and Access) and Outlook including the ability to utilize other software packages relevant to supporting the division’s core requirements
• Must obtain a valid certified IPM accredited agent license and maintain qualifications as related to Bill 64 government regulation 63/09.
• Must obtain a valid Exterminator Licence (Landscape).
• Must possess and be able to maintain a valid Province of Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and must qualify for the City’s equipment operating permits and requirements
• Ability to motivate, coordinate and supervise staff within a unionized environment.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, monitor budget and prepare written reports.
• Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, the Collective Agreements and related Labour Legislation.
• Ability to work weekends and on-call at various locations.

The position is centralized in Truro, Nova Scotia, with work locations varying across the province. In this role, you will report to the Nova Scotia Woodlands Operations Manager and be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Company owned harvesting equipment. This position will be directly responsible for ensuring the machinery is operated according to J.D. Irving, Limited’s Best Management Practices. The Supervisor will be required to maintain safety, quality, and productivity on the job site and work independently in remote environments. Perform of general daily maintenance and repairs is also required.

Qualifications:

• Education Required: High School diploma at a minimum
• Valid Nova Scotia Driver Licenses and clean driving abstract
• Years of Experience Required:

• 5 + years of forest operations experience, preferably operating harvesters and forwarders
• General heavy equipment mechanical skills will be considered and asset

• Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate will be considered an asset

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the harvesting machinery is being operated in an efficient, and productive manner according to J.D. Irving, Limited’s Best Management Practices
• Work with operators to hit daily production, quality, and utilization targets while maintaining all environmental standards
• Ensure daily maintenance is occurring, scheduling of services and replacement parts
• Schedule and coordinate harvesting operator shifts, vacations, and machine maintenance
• Proven ability to coach and inspire others, and act as a liaison on behalf of JDI
• May be required to operate the machinery to ensure full utilization of machine
