About the Role

What you’ll be doing

. Supporting the drive to position ASOS globally as a leading Fashion brand though fabric innovation, trend & sustainability.

. Working with key mills to drive new fabric trend & first to market fashion & gaining market price intelligence on volume fabrics to drive margin.

. Support HOF in fabric forecasting & greige commitment & fabric management.
. Exploring & driving consolidation opportunities across key Retail Departments negotiating the best fabric prices & delivery directly with garment manufacturers, fabric suppliers & agents.

. Working closely with agents, mills and manufacturers to gain full transparency of fabric origins as part of the wider ASOS Fashion with Integrity initiative.

. Supporting the implementation of cross functional Fabric Management Data Systems including working with commercial teams to identify seasonal volume fabric pots for consolidation, cost saving & standardization.

. Supporting & offering ideas for new fabric processes & best practices that support the ASOS Commercial Strategy within ASOS supplier business model

. Increasing customer trust & confidence through consistency in fabric quality working closely alongside Fabric Technical team.

. Working closely alongside Fabric Technologists to review existing fabric bases with a view to making consistent improvements in ASOS quality.

. Researching & being confident to present regular fabric trend updates, sourcing new fabrics as appropriate ahead of the season.

. Delivering seasonal overarching fabric trends, Catwalk Updates, Social Media & International Trade Shows.

. Collaborating with all relevant stake holders to work towards the FWI targets.

Qualifications

We’d love to meet someone with…

  • A broad knowledge and experience in fabric sourcing & composite materials in the current competitive marketplace
  • The ability to build strong relationships both internally with senior stakeholders & ASOS teams, as well as externally with suppliers & manufacturers will be integral to the role.
  • Broad current market-leading knowledge of worldwide fabric & composite materials supply chain including core volume lines & quick response unisex fast fashion.
  • Breadth of knowledge across all fabric bases, experienced in sourcing composite materials for fashion & sportswear.
  • Confident presentation and communication skills that are clear, succinct & persuasive.
  • Good knowledge of ASOS customer demographic & trends in fashion & textiles, market awareness of socioeconomic factors impacting the fashion industry and critical elements.
  • A strong understanding of new fabric innovations and development, with an interest in relevant technologies.
  • Flexibility to travel to visit mills, suppliers and fabric fairs globally to report on newness and maintain key supplier relationships
  • Aside from technical experience, organisational & analytical skills are essential, as are good time management and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Strong reporting skills using Excel, data management & PowerPoint skills

  • Experience in managing stakeholder groups

The Position

Oversee capital build-out and process improvement projects from design through regulatory preparation with a focus on Operations involvement. Serve as project point person/lead with specialized subgroups from various internal and external disciplines. Accountable for building the strategic organization to support the design, construction and implementation of all new buildings, facilities and utilities through release and turnover to system owner. This is a key role integrated into the project management and execution team accountable for managing strategic projects through oversight of a large project team to include NNPILP employees & contingent workers (contractors).

Reports to Project Director.

Essential Functions

  • Design, establish, & maintain an organizational structure & staffing to effectively accomplish the goals & objectives of the project, as well as recruit, train, oversee, & deploy technical & functional staff
  • Oversee one or more complex projects originating within the Operations Department (Manufacturing, Process, Facilities Engineering, Project Management/cLEAN, etc.) and acting as conduit from project conception through regulatory submission
  • Assist with steering committee leadership on large multidisciplinary projects
  • Ensure consistency with strategies as communicated from senior management and liaise with customers at project level to include the project sponsor and senior management to drive timely activity, integration, productivity, and efficient use of resources to meet requirements
  • Confirm all compliance requirements and guide project appropriately to ensure job duties and responsibilities are being performed in a compliant and ethical manner; in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes
  • Provide support and project management training for staff
  • Facilitate communication as appropriate to all involved and effectively manage individuals with a vested interest in the project or initiative
  • Establish appropriate Key Success Indicators and manage trade-offs between scope, quality, time, and cost
  • Track and report progress and forecast final targets
  • Proactively manage and communicate risks to prevent delay &cost impacts to projects, to include preventing critical path or unexpected items from derailing project through documenting and communicating as appropriate to management staff

Physical Requirements

May move equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. May be required to be on your feet for up to a 12-hour shift. May required corrected vision to 20/20 or 20/25 based on role. May require color vision based on role. May require the ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protections.

Development of People

Supervisory, ensure that reporting personnel have Individual Development Plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, Project Management, Construction Management, or relevant field of study from an accredited university required
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, Project Management, Construction Management, or relevant field of study from an accredited university preferred
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of proven & successful project management and/or construction management experience required
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of direct supervisory experience required
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of related experience in a cGMP regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry required

The Position

Responsible for leading the validation and qualification of large-scale commercial projects for facility, utility, equipment, and system & cleaning activities. Serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for industry standards and validation compliance requirements and supply support/technical knowledge for the development/refinement and implementation of validation standards. Work with site leadership to manage and create group strategy and systems, allocate resources to projects, and manage timelines for qualification projects. Will lead and provide daily direction to internal and external support for validation projects.

Essential Functions

  • Serve as Lead for all large-scale validation projects while sourcing external support for commissioning and validation activities
  • Develop scope of work for investment projects to include submitting and reviewing bids from externals, providing analysis, and recommendations for vendor selection
  • Initiate, design, and evaluate plans for site projects, to include the planning and execution of all tasks needed to meet goals
  • Execute priorities and consider long range project planning through consultation with supervisor while demonstrating good project and employee management skills
  • Maintain up-to-date schedules, budgets, & risk assessments for projects as well as knowledge of validation standards and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Serve as the SME for equipment qualification, laboratory equipment qualification, facility/utility qualification, control system qualification, and associated systems and procedures
  • Contribute to long-term strategic development of validation program, including mentoring activities for the development of the Validation team, policies & procedures development and the development of the Validation Team & validation practices to ensure compliance
  • Analyze and interpret validation data, make independent tactical decisions based on data and develop project strategies with consultation with supervisor
  • Lead the preparation and execution of validation protocols, data analysis, and final reporting
  • Provide validation input and direct support during regulatory inspections
  • Perform all job duties and responsibilities in a compliant and ethical manner and in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes
  • Implement department action plans based on the results from internal or external audits, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), and exception management processes
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties

Physical Requirements

May move equipment &/or supplies weighing up to 33 pounds within the facility using various body positions. May be required to be on your feet for up to a 12-hour shift. Development of People

Supervisory, ensure that reporting personnel have Individual Development Plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited university required
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited university preferred
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred
  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry required
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of direct supervisory experience required
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in proven validation experience required
  • Proven background of leading medium and large-scale projects from design, through installation, commissioning, and qualification, and into commercial use required
  • Strong project management skills, developing and tracking budgets and schedules for projects, and providing inputs into project risk analysis required
  • Strong understanding of: Validation concepts, international cGMP regulations and other industry standards pertaining to validation, and the technical requirements for Validation and of biopharmaceutical equipment, facilities, and/or instrumentation required
  • Strong work ethic (self-motivated) honesty, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in teams-displays initiative and commitment required
  • Proven experience supervising teams required

The Position

Oversee capital build-out and process improvement projects from design through regulatory preparation with a focus on Operations involvement. Serve as project point person/lead with specialized subgroups from various internal and external disciplines. Accountable for building the strategic organization to support the design, construction and implementation of all new buildings, facilities and utilities through release and turnover to system owner. This is a key role integrated into the project management and execution team accountable for managing strategic projects through oversight of a large project team to include NNPILP employees & contingent workers (contractors).

Relationships

Reports to Project Director.

Essential Functions

  • Design, establish, & maintain an organizational structure & staffing to effectively accomplish the goals & objectives of the project, as well as recruit, train, oversee, & deploy technical & functional staff
  • Oversee one or more complex projects originating within the Operations Department (Manufacturing, Process, Facilities Engineering, Project Management/cLEAN, etc.) and acting as conduit from project conception through regulatory submission
  • Assist with steering committee leadership on large multidisciplinary projects
  • Ensure consistency with strategies as communicated from senior management and liaise with customers at project level to include the project sponsor and senior management to drive timely activity, integration, productivity, and efficient use of resources to meet requirements
  • Confirm all compliance requirements and guide project appropriately to ensure job duties and responsibilities are being performed in a compliant and ethical manner; in accordance with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and industry codes
  • Provide support and project management training for staff
  • Facilitate communication as appropriate to all involved and effectively manage individuals with a vested interest in the project or initiative
  • Establish appropriate Key Success Indicators and manage trade-offs between scope, quality, time, and cost
  • Track and report progress and forecast final targets
  • Proactively manage and communicate risks to prevent delay &cost impacts to projects, to include preventing critical path or unexpected items from derailing project through documenting and communicating as appropriate to management staff
  • Document, track and assess impact of all changes in project parameters as well as all obstacles, delays, and claims
  • Ensure closure of documentation according to project milestones and archive appropriate records
  • Direct and lead the project safety team ensuring project-related execution is performed under Novo Nordisk EHS standards, to include ensuring external contractors are also operating under the same standards
  • Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties

  • Minimum of seven (7) years of direct supervisory experience required
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of related experience in a cGMP regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry required
  • Knowledge of organizational structure, staffing patterns & job design required
  • Budget preparation & fiscal management experience required
  • Ability to read/review design drawings CAD (Computer Aided Design) with a basic understanding of P&ID’s (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram) required
  • Thorough understanding of technical documents such as URS (User Requirement Specification), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), FAT (Factory Acceptance Test), & Validation Protocols required
  • Goal oriented and action focused, pragmatic and self-disciplined, accomplished at project planning, organizing, communication and team motivation required
  • Independent and responsive to input, diplomacy and persuasion, ability to find common ground and resolution required
  • Proven success managing both people and projects required

Responsible for various Technology categories (Software, Hardware, Telecom) and sourcing assigned to them, including identification and development of vendors, analysis, and negotiation of renewals, and contracting. Responsible for coordinating and supporting the category execution team to optimize total acquisition cost at global and regional levels.

Provide Strategic Procurement management to News Corp, including accountability for Supplier engagement for Software, Hardware, Telecom and Professional Services Contracts predominantly in EUR & US region. Responsible for ensuring the procurement processes across News Corp are challenged, improved, and consistently applied.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to understand and negotiate contracts for Software, Hardware, Network, Telecom, End User Computing Device, Peripherals & APCs.
  • Responsible for coordinating with the Sourcing execution team in India for renewals of the current contracts efficiently optimizing cost and usage.
  • Coordinate between various business partners and legal to ensure that legal understands the business arrangement and that the business partners understand legal implications. Ability to translate business requirements into contractual language.
  • Ability to manage the communications with a global team including UK and India locations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise for all Technology Categories including developments within the market, competitor activity, technology, and capability to ensure a strong negotiating position and deliver lowest cost acquisition.
  • Drive the delivery of annual cost saving initiatives and meet the terms of any contractual obligations, negotiating Long Term Agreements, to support the agreed Category strategy.
  • Governance and Ownership of Long Term Agreements for the Suppliers.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4-7 Years of extensive contracting and sourcing experience within a technically demanding environment, including significant experience in establishing, driving and developing Supplier Relationships.
  • Significant experience in negotiations including contracting and the establishment of long-term agreements
  • Experience of developing and implementing Category Strategies for IT
  • Ability to forge strong internal and external relationships
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Some Travel will be required
  • Experience with global sourcing
