Purpose of Role
Global Security is looking for a summer intern to support and assist with research and analysis across our various projects and day-to-day monitoring.
Job Responsibilities
Assist with daily monitoring of global security events/incidents, which could affect Kinross
Undertake a global security project which adds value to the department (will be discussed upon starting)
Provide support to the global security projects where needed
Minimum Requirements
Education and Experience
Enrolled in a university degree (Politics, International Relations, Security, Criminology, or related degree)
Master’s students preferred, 3rd or 4th year is also acceptable
Skills
Ability to synthesize complex information quickly
Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated
Strong organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong research and writing skills
Flexibility to undertake various tasks
Strong oral and written communication skills
Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently
Ability to learn quickly and to work well in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
Advanced knowledge of Excel or other data analysis tools an advantage
Arabic, Spanish, Russian, French, or Portuguese language abilities would also be an asset

Purpose of Role
Troubleshooting Windows Operating system & Microsoft Office Suite and providing desk side support to corporate IT users, in addition to troubleshooting hardware such as printers, cell phones, laptops, tablets, and IP phones. Imaging laptop computer hardware with base OS (Windows 7) and business critical applications, plus provisioning desktop and mobile voice communication devices for Kinross end users worldwide. Provide support for software and services such as video & audio conferencing, JD Edwards financials, mobile device management, anti-virus management, and spam filtering.
