Purpose of Role

Global Security is looking for a summer intern to support and assist with research and analysis across our various projects and day-to-day monitoring.

Job Responsibilities

Assist with daily monitoring of global security events/incidents, which could affect Kinross

Undertake a global security project which adds value to the department (will be discussed upon starting)

Provide support to the global security projects where needed

Minimum Requirements

Education and Experience

Enrolled in a university degree (Politics, International Relations, Security, Criminology, or related degree)

Master’s students preferred, 3rd or 4th year is also acceptable

Skills

Ability to synthesize complex information quickly

Good interpersonal skills, self-motivated

Strong organizational and analytical skills and attention to detail

Kinross is looking for a Business or Human Resources student to assist the Human Resources Department during the summer of 2024.

Job Responsibilities

Work with the Talent & Engagement team to assist with identifying organizational talent needs, to support employee development, performance, succession planning, diversity equity & inclusion (DEI) and employee engagement. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Support the design and execution of various Talent and Engagement initiatives and programs
• Run reports from our HR Information System (HRIS) to track progress and attendance for a variety of programs and initiatives
• Assist with logistics, creating and administering evaluations, coordinating events and training, and any other arrangements and activities needed to support Talent and Engagement programs and initiatives
• Design and send out promotional material for various programs and initiatives
• Support with invoice processing
• Work with external vendors as needed

• Assist with producing webinars using MS Teams or Zoom
• Assist with setting up various meetings, committees and working groups

Purpose of Role

Troubleshooting Windows Operating system & Microsoft Office Suite and providing desk side support to corporate IT users, in addition to troubleshooting hardware such as printers, cell phones, laptops, tablets, and IP phones. The Gold Rush Corporate Internship Program is an opportunity for students who are enrolled in a related program at a recognized academic institution, and who want to excel in the mining industry. This program will have opportunities working closely with various departments in the Kinross Corporate Office in Toronto, Ontario gaining real-world experience in an exciting, dynamic field.
