What will you do?

We are in search of an experienced candidate to develop and grow sales of residential electrical distribution products into the Canadian construction market. This position will work within the Electrical Products business unit of the Smart Infrastructure Division. Sufficient knowledge of the residential construction market, specifically with builders, and an ability to work in a high paced environment will be keys to success for this role. This position will be implementing go-to-market programs and activities to target new and existing accounts in the single-family and multi-residential markets for Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with contractors / user / home Builders and influence their specifications for electrical distribution.
  • Set business plans and drive activities to realize targets for new and existing accounts in Canada
  • Management report out on performance of the segment in the assigned region
  • Aid with Contractor / User / Builder conversions
  • Identify product/program development and promotion opportunities

What will you need to succeed?

  • More than 5 years combined experience in electrical distribution or construction industries.
  • Great networking and negotiation skills.
  • Sales experience is an asset.

The team is full-time, five days a week in the office, they work in AutoCAD and Revit (this position does require existing proficiency in Revit) and are focused on expanding detailed technical knowledge to meet the demand of some complex luxury projects that come in for next year. Qualifications

  • Developmental Service Worker Diploma (DSW), Social Service Worker Diploma (SSW), currently enrolled in SSW program, Community Service Worker Diploma (CSW), Autism & Behaviour Sciences,
  • Concurrent Disorders Diploma (PSW)
  • Minimum 1-2 Years work experience in a residential group living setting
  • Experience working with individuals who display challenging behaviours
  • Emergency First Aid/CPR Certification, NVCI Training
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications including but not limited to: Word and Outlook
  • Working from a feminist, anti-oppressive/anti-racist perspective
  • French Language Skills an Asset
  • Must be able to work designated schedule as assigned
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
  • Must provide a current Vulnerable Sector Police Check or willingness to obtain at own cost
  • Attend and participate in all YWCA Hamilton mandatory training
  • Must be willing to provide a pre- employment medical examination and annually thereafter

This employee will work in the capacity of case manager to an assigned caseload within a 24-hour group living/supported living residence for adults with a developmental disability who have challenging behaviours, mental health diagnosis and/or physical or complex medical needs. They will provide delivery of direct support services to all individuals within the residential setting, and ensure the physical and emotional well-being and safety/security of all individuals within the residence in alignment with YWCA Hamilton’s Mission and Vision Statements.

  • In cooperation with program supervisor, will perform all duties and responsibilities in a productive, professional and cooperative manner which will contribute to the overall goals of the department and in keeping with general policies and guidelines of YWCA Hamilton;
  • Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of individuals we support is maintained;
  • Meet QAM Compliance and MCSS Legislation 299/10 Standards;
  • Ensure annual ISP’s and reviews are completed as assigned for caseload and that goals are realistic and meaningful and reflective of the residents’ needs;
  • To provide and coordinate the linkage of specialized/clinical support services, referrals and advocacy in order to meet individuals’ needs in cooperation with individuals, families, other staff and community service agencies;
  • Provide physical assistance/support as needed by individual in all areas of activities of daily living including but not limited to: physical lifting/transfers of residents, pushing/pulling mobility equipment/devices, bathing, hygiene routines, medication administration, coordination and support of medical/dental/specialists, meal preparation/grocery shopping, chores/housekeeping, finances, socialization, recreation, and programming;
  • All necessary administrative/documentation tasks are performed: implementation of BSPs, client file documentation, behaviour data collection, charting, daily logs, summary case notes, referrals, ISP, programming, checklists, chore lists, inspections, financial records or other reports/tasks as assigned;
  • Support services offered will maintain or increase individual’s independent living skills and personal growth;
  • Meet compliance standards set by MCSS;
  • Partake in regular team meetings in order to communicate and share information including achievements, progress, concerns and generate solutions;
